Ex-Iranian FM accuses Israel of using Azerbaijan for strikes and spy recruitment against Tehran

According to expert assessments, Israeli strikes on northern Iran involved the use of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s airspace and airports, former Iranian Foreign Minister and MP Manouchehr Mottaki said during a broadcast on the state-run IRINN channel.

Mottaki also claimed that Israeli embassies function as “spy recruitment hubs” targeting the Islamic Republic, operating notably in northern Iraq, as well as in Baku and Abu Dhabi.
