Iranian media: U.S. vice president thanked Azerbaijan for its role alongside Israel in the war against Iran

Iranian outlet YJC, which operates under the state television broadcaster, reports that during Vice President Vance’s trip to Baku, the United States expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s participation in NATO operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bosnia, highlighting the country’s importance as a key logistical partner. The outlet argues that this acknowledgment goes beyond past cooperation.

“The most recent dimension of this involvement is Azerbaijan’s full participation in the 12-day U.S. and Israeli offensive against Iran. Even American think tanks have referred to the emergence of a Washington–Tel Aviv–Baku triangle,” YJC said.

“Vance’s remarks were, in part, a signal of appreciation for Baku’s anti-Iran posture and Aliyev’s pledges to maintain it in the future,” the outlet added.
