Lebanese analyst: Azerbaijan’s borders could be a launch point for strikes on Iran

“The U.S. plan to stoke unrest within Iran has failed… What is now on the table is a ‘war from the periphery’ scenario—a conflict beginning along Iran’s borders with Pakistan, Azerbaijan, or Iraq, after which the United States or Israel would carry out limited strikes (on Iran),” said Lebanese analyst Hussein Mortada, head of the Sonar Center for Strategic Studies.
