Khamenei adviser: Iran could strike U.S. bases in the region, including those in Azerbaijan

Responding to a question about whether Iran would strike U.S. bases in the region, including those in the Persian Gulf and Azerbaijan, Ali Shamkhani, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, said: “During the previous war, we had precise information and data indicating that Iran was threatened from some of the regions mentioned.”

In an interview with Al Mayadeen—a channel affiliated with Hezbollah, Iran’s most prominent regional proxy—Shamkhani said “patience will not be repeated.” He added that Iran has already warned some regional actors that it will no longer show restraint and intends to formally notify others as well.
