Israeli TV: Azerbaijan may support U.S. and Israel in Iran strike scenario

Azerbaijan could provide support to Israel and the United States in the event of a potential strike on Iran in the coming days, Israel’s Channel 12 reported. According to the broadcaster, countries in the region are unlikely to participate in a direct military attack on Iran, but indirect assistance remains possible—primarily through intelligence sharing or by granting access to their territory or airspace.

Channel 12 cited reports suggesting that Azerbaijan may have previously assisted Israel during strikes on Iranian territory during the June escalation, though no official confirmation has been provided.

“Relations between Iran and Azerbaijan have long been marked by friction and recurring tensions. In recent years, Azerbaijan has increasingly positioned itself as a state aspiring to become a regional power—challenging the hegemony of both Russia and Iran,” the outlet added.
