"The three Islamic State-backed individuals arrested in Azerbaijan on suspicion of targeting a foreign embassy were planning an attack on Israel’s mission in Baku. They planned to carry out the attack several months ago," The Times of Israel reported.
"In a statement, the Azerbaijani State Security Service said the three men, whom it named, had conspired with members of ISIS-K, obtained weapons and planned to attack a foreign embassy before they were apprehended by security forces. The Azerbaijani statement did not name the embassy targeted," the news outlet added.
Meanwhile, Israel Hayom noted: "A day following the visit of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar: Azerbaijani authorities announced on Tuesday that they had arrested three individuals plotting an attack on the Israeli embassy in Baku (the capital city), under the direction of the ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan."
