Azerbaijan accepts Trump’s invitation to join “Board of Peace” as a Founding Member State

U.S. President Donald Trump has invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to join a new international initiative, the “Board of Peace,” aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza.

“As Chairman of the Board, I formally invite the Republic of Azerbaijan to join as a Founding Member State,” President Trump wrote in a letter to the Azerbaijani leader, describing the initiative as “a critically historic and magnificent effort” and “the most impressive and consequential Board ever assembled.”

President Aliyev has officially accepted the offer. “I accept this invitation as a sign of mutually respectful and beneficial partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States of America, and as a recognition of Azerbaijan's role in promotion of peace and stability at the regional and global levels,” Aliyev wrote in his reply. He added that Azerbaijan joins the "Board of Peace" by “sharing its noble mission of ending the conflict in Gaza and building a safer and more prosperous future for all affected by the long-lasting conflict.”
