Rubio and Bayramov discuss positive developments in U.S.-Azerbaijani relations

On January 19, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the call, Secretary Rubio commended the Azerbaijani government’s fuel shipments to Armenia, describing the move as an important gesture demonstrating Azerbaijan’s continued commitment to the historic Armenia–Azerbaijan peace deal advanced by President Trump at the White House summit on August 8, 2025.

The two officials also lauded positive developments in U.S.-Azerbaijani relations.
