Russian analyst warns "color revolution" scenarios serving Israel’s interests could backfire on Azerbaijan

A video featuring insults against Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has appeared on an Azerbaijani opposition website, Russian analyst Kirill Semyonov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He noted that while the website is described as a private opposition platform, there is a belief that the Azerbaijani authorities use it as a channel for deliberate news leaks, which enables them to avoid direct responsibility.

Semyonov added that he hopes Baku is not backing “color revolution” scenarios in the interests of the United States and Israel. He warned that such tactics could eventually be turned against Azerbaijan itself, and that in such a situation, external allies would be unlikely to come to its aid.
