Iranian media: Tehran urges Turkey to restrain its “younger brother” Azerbaijan

According to Iran’s conservative outlet Kayhan, widely seen as a mouthpiece of the country’s Supreme Leader, Turkey is backing Azerbaijan—a country that, during the 12-day war, allegedly played a role in Israeli strikes on Iranian territory.

Citing Middle East Eye, Kayhan adds that some political figures in Tehran believe Ankara should urge Azerbaijan—described as Turkey’s “younger brother”—to control its behavior.
