Media outlet linked to former IRGC commander-in-chief steps up criticism of Azerbaijan’s leadership

“During the 12-day war, the Aliyev family’s hands were stained with the blood of hundreds of women and children, civilians, nuclear scientists, as well as prominent Iranian commanders and military personnel,” writes Tabnak, a news website close to former IRGC commander-in-chief Mohsen Rezaei.

“It is sufficient to monitor Iran’s cyberspace to see that severe punishment of the Aliyev family has become a nationwide demand shared by all Iranians, including ethnic Azerbaijanis,” the outlet notes.

“The same family that until yesterday claimed to lead Azerbaijanis worldwide while concealing its allegedly illustrious Kurdish lineage—privately avoiding even speaking Azerbaijani, yet shedding crocodile tears at the Samarkand meeting over the situation of Azerbaijani in Iran—has today aligned itself with the most ruthless forces on Earth, taking part in the killing of innocent women and children in Tabriz, Ardabil, Urmia, Rasht, and Tehran,” Tabnak stresses.
