Azerbaijan and U.S. hold talks on strengthening energy sector cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with U.S. congressmen and representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce during a visit to Washington, D.C., the Azerbaijani news agency Trend reported.

In talks with Rep. Michael Cloud and Rep. Dan Newhouse, the sides discussed prospects for advancing the existing successful energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States.

It was also noted that a U.S. Chamber of Commerce delegation is expected to visit Azerbaijan in February next year, with energy cooperation set to be one of the key priorities.
