Azerbaijan says no decision has been made on sending its contingent to Gaza

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that no decision has yet been made on sending an Azerbaijani contingent to Gaza. Speaking at a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on 8 December in Baku, he noted that Azerbaijan was among the first countries to receive an invitation from the United States to take part in a peacekeeping mission in Gaza, the local news agency Trend reported.

"However, since there are no answers to some of our questions of interest, there is currently no decision on sending an Azerbaijani contingent to Gaza," Trend quoted the minister.
