IRGC-linked channels circulate Brazilian journalist’s claims on Azerbaijan’s role in the 12-day Israel–Iran war

Telegram channels sepah_news1 and QODS_COM, both affiliated with the IRGC, are circulating statements by prominent Brazilian journalist Pepe Escobar, who alleges that during the 12-day war against Iran, not only Israel but more than 50 foreign intelligence agencies—including the CIA, Mossad, and MI6—took part alongside Israel.

Escobar claims that Azerbaijan and Turkey “also directly participated in the attacks against Iran,” and that “drones were launched from Azerbaijani territory at Iran during the first 48 hours.” He further asserts that had Tehran retaliated against Azerbaijan, “Turkey was prepared to enter the war with Iran.”
