“The first Azerbaijan–U.S. Think Tank Forum has officially commenced in Baku, dedicated to ushering bilateral relations into a new phase. The event serves as a key platform for discussions on the region's evolving geopolitical agenda,” reports the Azerbaijani news channel AnewZ.
“The forum focused on the outcomes of the Washington summit on 8 August 2025 and their implications for relations between the two nations. The agreement reached at the summit between President İlham Aliyev and President Donald Trump to elevate ties to a strategic partnership set the central theme for discussions in Baku... The forum also examined shifting global energy routes, the deepening competition among major powers, and Azerbaijan's increasingly pivotal role as a strategic bridge between Europe and Asia,” the news outlet notes.
AnewZ further emphasized that “overall attention was drawn to Azerbaijan's growing role in linking energy, transport, and digital networks across Eurasia,” including the expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor, renewable energy projects and the development of the Middle Corridor.
