Israel Hayom: Azerbaijan aware of potential clashes with Hamas if deployed to Gaza

"In recent days, countries that were expected to deploy forces to help stabilize the Gaza Strip have made it clear they will not do so as long as Hamas retains its weapons... Egypt, like others, understands that clashes between its troops and armed Hamas operatives are only a matter of time, especially if there is any serious effort to disarm the terrorist group. This position is shared by other potential contributors to the stabilization force, including Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Jordan and Morocco... The practical result is that no international force is currently willing to take responsibility for Gaza or carry out its primary mission, disarming Hamas in line with the Trump plan," writes the Israeli daily Israel Hayom, which is owned by one of the largest donors to Donald Trump’s election campaign.
