The National Interest: Azerbaijan is positioned as a likely new partner in the Abraham Accords

"Trump’s Iran strike halted escalation and bolstered his peacemaker image. Now, he seeks to expand the Abraham Accords, with Azerbaijan positioned as a likely new partner amid shared anti-Iran interests," writes The National Interest, a policy think tank closely aligned with moderate Republicans.
"Without a doubt, the Abraham Accords unique framework can play a key role in Washington’s efforts to see the Greater Middle East move in the direction of greater prosperity and stability after the long and dark period the region has been going through since the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel led by Iranian proxy Hamas. Having Azerbaijan and other countries that come forward to sign onto the Accords when the time is right can become a crowning achievement of the second Trump term, working toward a saner and better future for the region," The National Interest adds.
