Khamenei’s representative hints at Azerbaijani "complicity" in U.S.-Israel plan to destroy Iran

Israel and the United States "had devised a plan" for the total defeat of Iran, including the destruction of its nuclear infrastructure, missile systems, and the assassination of scientists, "but the plan failed." This was stated by Hassan Ameli, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in Ardabil province, who is known for his anti-Azerbaijani rhetoric.

According to Ameli, had the plan succeeded, "the enemies intended to break Iran into several small, subordinate states."

He cited a statement made several years ago by an Azerbaijani MP, who referred to the "same U.S.-Israel plan" and openly declared: "We will wipe Iran off the map." Ameli added: "Do you know why some of our neighbors did not condemn the Israeli and American attack? Because they were aware of this plan and hoped it would succeed."
