“I don’t have concrete information, but based on my understanding of them over the years, I doubt they have the courage to directly or indirectly orchestrate a plot against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said Abbas Mousavi, former Iranian ambassador to Baku, in an interview with the analytical website Avash, commenting on rumors that Israel launched strikes on Iran from Azerbaijani territory.
“They have seen what happened to the American base in Qatar. When it comes to national security, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not take matters lightly. All 15 of our neighbors — and even countries that do not share a border with us but may have directly or indirectly supported the Zionist regime — should know that if such support is proven to the Islamic Republic of Iran, this will not go without a response,” Mousavi warned.
“If this information is confirmed, there could be consequences — at the right time and in the right place — not only for that country but also for others who may fall under suspicion,” he emphasized.
