"Azerbaijan, Iran’s northern neighbor, has refrained from officially condemning the recent Israeli attacks. Unlike Turkey, which issued a denunciation, Baku has taken a cautious stance, limiting its response to a mere 'call for restraint,'" reports the Iranian conservative news agency Khabar Online, which is considered close to Ali Larijani, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader.

According to the news outlet, "This silence — rooted in Azerbaijan’s close ties with Israel and its historically strained relations with Iran — has led to criticism of Baku."
