Iranian newspaper: Pro-Iranian groups in Azerbaijan could be put on combat alert

Iran may respond to the United States by activating the "Axis of Resistance," which plays a critical role, according to the Telegram channel of the Iranian conservative newspaper Vatan Emrooz.

“Ansar Allah (the Houthi movement in Yemen) could threaten key maritime routes; Hezbollah in Lebanon remains resilient; Iraqi forces are capable of making the U.S. presence in Iraq insecure. Additionally, pro-Iranian groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan could be put on combat alert,” Vatan Emrooz adds.

The term “Axis of Resistance” is used by Iran to refer to its regional proxies.
