Independent Arabia: Iran’s territorial disintegration will facilitate the creation of a "Greater Azerbaijan" backed by Israel

The collapse of Iran’s territorial integrity would mark a step closer for “President Aliyev and the Azerbaijani leadership toward realizing the dream of unifying ethnically Azerbaijani-populated regions and establishing a Greater Azerbaijan,” writes Independent Arabia, an Arabic-language news outlet operated by the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) under license from the British newspaper The Independent.

“There is no doubt that this ambition will be openly supported by Baku’s main ally—Israel—which maintains deep strategic ties with Azerbaijan. This was demonstrated by Israel’s strike against the Iranian regime and by the close military and intelligence cooperation between the two sides, which helped facilitate Israel’s strike deep inside Iran,” the news outlet adds.
