Iranian analyst: Detained agents confessed to receiving Mossad-led training in Azerbaijan

“Iran has arrested a number of spies who confessed to receiving training in Azerbaijan under the supervision of Mossad operatives, with the aim of carrying out sabotage and espionage activities inside Iran,” said Iranian political analyst Saeed Shavardi in an interview with the Saudi news channel Asharq.

“Israel previously claimed to have obtained Iranian nuclear documents that were smuggled through Azerbaijani territory—allegations that have been denied by both Tehran and Baku,” Shavardi added.
