Iranian media: Israeli strike on Iran’s Rasht was launched from Azerbaijani territory

On 20 June, Israel conducted drone strikes against the industrial city of Rasht in Gilan province, “using drones that took off from Azerbaijani territory and entered Rasht’s airspace,” reports the Iranian news site Bultan, citing its sources.

“This incident once again demonstrates that Azerbaijan—despite its denials of allowing its airspace to be used for attacks on Iran—actually serves as a base for the aggressor’s military, Israel. Azerbaijan is ignoring prior warnings from the Islamic Republic of Iran about the necessity of good-neighborly relations and is moving in the opposite direction,” the site emphasizes.
