Former IRGC сommander: After Israel’s defeat, Azerbaijan will reorient toward Iran

The defeat of Israel will fundamentally alter the regional balance of power in Iran’s favor, said Major General Mohsen Rezaei, former commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Once Israel is defeated, all of Iran’s current interim relations — such as those with "the United Arab Emirates or the Republic of Azerbaijan — will come to an end,” Rezaei asserted.

“All regional monarchs will come to the conclusion that, instead of relying on the U.S. and Israel, they should turn to Iran,” he added.
