Iranian analyst: The U.S.-backed Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan project is a vulnerability for Israel

The Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline is “a strategic American pipeline that serves Israel’s interests,” said Hossein Shahpari, an Iranian analyst specializing in international affairs, in an interview with the economic news outlet Eghtesad 120.

According to Shahpari, if the main oil and fuel storage facilities of the “Zionists are targeted, Israel will shift to a defensive position.”
