Israeli expert: Armenian media spreads Iranian disinformation about drones launched from Azerbaijan

Armenian media outlets are accusing Azerbaijan of serving as a launchpad for Israeli aircraft and drones, according to Israeli expert and former military intelligence officer Alexander Grinberg.

“They (the Armenians) are following Tehran’s instructions—but it’s (these accusations) complete nonsense and a lie,” Grinberg said. “Yes, there is cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Israel, but the agreement between the two countries clearly specifies that Israel does not use Azerbaijani territory for kinetic operations. We have no interest in putting Azerbaijan at risk, and the Iranians are are taking advantage of that,” he added.

Grinberg continued, “This isn’t just about Armenian sympathy for Iran—Armenia is fully subordinate to Tehran’s decision-making.”
