Ex-Egyptian MP claims Israeli fighter jets refuel at base in Azerbaijan

Former Egyptian MP Samir Ghattas stated that there is an issue many have overlooked: “How do Israeli fighter jets refuel during airstrikes on Iran?” He explained that Israel operates F-15, F-16, and F-35 fighter aircraft, and the flight range of these jets, combined with the distance between Israel and Iran, requires mid-air refueling.

Ghattas claimed that the answer to this question is Azerbaijan. According to him, an Israeli military base is located in the territory of this Muslim-majority country, “near its western border with Iran” (Egyptian newspaper Al-Nahar).
