Yerevan should keep close contact with Tehran amid Israel–Iran tensions, says Armenian expert

Armenian expert on Iran Vardan Voskanyan has called for urgent national-level measures in response to the escalating security situation in the Middle East, warning that it could pose threats to Armenia.

“The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia must be brought to a level of combat readiness appropriate to the situation—especially in light of the ongoing Azerbaijani–Turkish military exercises in Nakhchivan,” Voskanyan wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also called for coordination with allied states via closed channels. "Permanent communication must be maintained with the Iranian side through diplomatic and security channels," Voskanyan added.
