Prominent U.S. rabbi: Israel has no greater ally in the Muslim world than Azerbaijan

"Among the 57 Muslim nations in the world, when it comes to support and solidarity with the state of Israel, Azerbaijan is number one. Azerbaijan, first and foremost, has become the beacon of interreligious and intercultural cooperation and coexistence in the Muslim world. Azerbaijan reveres its indigenous Jewish communities — a Jewish population that people estimate to number between 25,000 and 35,000 Jews that live in Azerbaijan. Israel has no greater friend, no greater ally, in the Muslim world than Azerbaijan. For these three reasons, Azerbaijan enjoys a certain preeminence in the global Jewish world," stated the prominent American Rabbi Mark Schneier in an interview with the Israeli news channel i24NEWS.
