Iran accuses Azerbaijan of “betraying Palestine” over ongoing oil exports to Israel

Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has described reports that Azerbaijan continues to supply oil to Israel as a “continued betrayal of Palestine by Baku.”
On June 7, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, citing a local official, reported that "Azerbaijan has promised Israel it will continue supplying oil, despite having officially stopped publishing data on its oil exports to Israel."
A day earlier, on June 6, the Israeli financial outlet The Marker, citing its own sources, stated that Azerbaijan’s "official decision to halt exports was aimed at avoiding pressure from President Erdoğan’s regime, which has faced domestic protests over the transport of oil through Turkish territory. In practice, however, deliveries are expected to continue through trading companies. This way, Azerbaijan could claim that it is not fueling the aircraft that are killing Palestinian children."
