Azerbaijan advancing a NATO project in the Caucasus, says Iranian expert

“Baku’s persistence on the Zangezur Corridor issue stems from delusion and growing dependence on Turkey and Israel,” said Ahmad Kazemi, an Iranian expert on the Caucasus and Eurasia (according to the Telegram channel Al-Nujaba, an Iran-aligned media platform based in Iraq).

“Iran, by proposing a corridor through Araz, opened a path to regional integration. However, Baku continues to implement a Turkish-Israeli NATO project in the Caucasus — a costly strategy that would represent a crossing of Tehran’s ‘red line,’” he warned.
