Azerbaijani political analyst: U.S. senator will inform Congress about future benefits of cooperation with Azerbaijan

Washington views Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation positively, according to Azerbaijani political analyst Elkhan Shahinoglu. His remarks came in response to U.S. Senator Steve Daines’s May 29 visit to Azerbaijan, during which the senator met with Israeli Ambassador to Baku, George Deek.

“What matters is that this dynamic has been correctly understood by the majority of U.S. Congress members, ultimately leading to the repeal of Section 907, which had previously been applied to Azerbaijan. Naturally, this issue will not be resolved by a single senator’s visit to Azerbaijan. In any case, Steve Daines, who held meetings in Baku, will explain to his colleagues upon his return that cooperation with Azerbaijan will be beneficial for the United States,” Shahinoglu stated (Persian-language version of the Azerbaijani news site Axar).
