IRGC media mouthpiece: Implementation of Baku-Tehran agreements would weaken Israeli influence in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, which shares close historical, cultural, and economic ties with Iran, holds an important place in the Islamic Republic's neighborhood policy, according to the Iranian news agency Fars, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

“The implementation of the agreements reached (between Tehran and Baku) could significantly diminish the political and economic influence of Iran’s rivals and adversaries—particularly the Zionist regime—in Azerbaijan,” the news agency noted.
