"Azerbaijan’s long-standing, strategic ties with Israel make it a strong candidate for the next Abraham Accords signatory, offering Washington a valuable opportunity to expand regional normalization beyond the Gulf," writes The National Interest, a policy think tank closely aligned with moderate Republicans.

"While it is currently focused on the Persian Gulf, Washington would do well to seize the opportunity further east. It would do even better to support the burgeoning Israel-Azerbaijan relationship. Formally bringing Baku into the Abraham Accords is the right place to start," the article notes.
