Military expert: Azerbaijan-Iran joint drills are a signal to Israel

The joint military exercises between Baku and Tehran may serve as a signal to Israel, which has been strengthening its military and defense ties with Azerbaijan, said military expert Mohammad Mahdi Yazdi in an interview with the Qatari news channel Al Jazeera.

“These Iran-Azerbaijan drills could prompt Tel Aviv to reconsider the scope and nature of its presence on Azerbaijani territory,” Yazdi noted.
