Azerbaijan becomes first Muslim-majority country to condemn attack on Israeli diplomats

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement offering condolences to Israel and the families of two Israeli diplomats killed in an attack in Washington D.C.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the State of Israel and the families of two Israeli diplomats who were killed as a result of heinous attack in Washington D.C. We strongly condemn this cowardly act of violence, which seeks to sow fear and division," the ministry said.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan is the first Muslim-majority country to publicly offer condolences in the wake of the attack.
