Hosseini: Iran boosts diplomatic efforts in South Caucasus to counter Azerbaijan-Israel cooperation

Iran was previously engaged in political negotiations with Armenia and Azerbaijan but is now actively pursuing security collaboration to maintain a strong regional presence in the South Caucasus, according to Puya Hosseini, founder of the Armenia-Iran Cooperation Development Fund.

In an interview with Armenian news outlet 1in.am, Hosseini pointed out that the Iranian president's recent visit to Azerbaijan was aimed at "diplomatically neutralizing threats" arising from Baku's cooperation with Iran's adversary, Israel.

"Prior to that, Iran's foreign minister visited Armenia and emphasized the importance of signing a peace treaty," Hosseini added.
