Azerbaijani Ambassador: Turkey is an ally, Israel a close friend

"Israel and Israelis have been always positively perceived in Azerbaijan. Especially, since November, 2020, when we got the victory at the end of the war, you could see quite a lot of Israeli flags all over Azerbaijan. And people still have that in their memories. And even today you see some people have positive feelings towards Israel, because Israel stood together with Azerbaijan when we needed," said Azerbaijani Ambassador to Israel Mukhtar Mammadov in an interview with Israeli TV channel i24NEWS.

"In Baku there was the first meeting between the Israeli and Turkish delegations to talk about the conflicting in Syria. For us it's very important, because these two countries are very dear, they are friends. For us Turkey is our ally and Israel is a very close friend of ours... Therefore, we try to make our input to this process, facilitating this process again," Mammadov emphasized.
