Iran’s Security Council mouthpiece: External actors in security and media seek to disrupt Iran-Azerbaijan relations

“We must not overlook the role of transregional actors in the fields of security and media who aim to undermine relations between Tehran and Baku,” writes Nournews, an Iranian news outlet affiliated with the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic.

“These threats include the presence of the Zionist regime in Azerbaijan’s military projects, Western attempts to isolate Iran from regional transit routes, and the fueling of ethnic and border tensions. Despite these challenges, the warm reception given to the Iranian president by Azerbaijani officials reflects both countries’ determination to overcome these difficulties and return to a path of cooperation,” the news outlet adds.
