French media: Azerbaijan–Israel cooperation sparks concern in Iran

“Relations between Tehran and Baku have gone through many ups and downs in recent years. Notably, Azerbaijan’s growing closeness with Israel and significant arms deals between the two countries have been a major source of concern for Tehran for at least the past 13 years. Tehran remains constantly worried that Azerbaijani territory could serve as a permanent base for operations against the Islamic Republic,” reports the Persian service of the French radio broadcaster RFI.
