Azerbaijani top diplomat: Azerbaijan and Israel share very close and trusted relations

"Türkiye is a brotherly country and our closest ally. At the same time, Azerbaijan and Israel have strategic partnership relations, very close and trusted relations... We also very well remember the relations between Türkiye and Israel - they have their own ups and downs. And the recent turmoil in the relations is not the first time." This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in an interview with the Turkish state-run English-language TV channel TRT World.

"So several years ago we had similar situation and at that time Azerbaijan and namely our president - president Aliyev - did a lot in order to play his positive role in improving relations between Türkiye and Israel. So from this perspective, of course, we want the normalization of these relations on top of the very special relations with these countries," Bayramov underlined.
