Turkish IHH chief calls on Ilham Aliyev to cut ties with Israel

“We expect Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to sever relations with Israel. It is not possible to call both Israel and Turkey a friend at the same time. Azerbaijan must halt fuel exports to Israel. We are one nation – two states… We believed in you, and we want to continue believing.
I state this openly: break off relations with Israel. During the Karabakh war, Israel sold weapons—anyone who pays can get arms. You should support those who stood by you and fought alongside you in Karabakh. We are voicing this expectation and demand a clear response from him (Ilham Aliyev),” said Bülent Yıldırım, President of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İnsani Yardım Vakfı, İHH), during a mass rally in Istanbul.
İHH is a non-governmental organization providing humanitarian aid to victims in conflict zones. Founded in 1995, it operates in 123 countries. It is banned in several countries, including the United States, Germany, and Israel. In Israel, it is classified as a terrorist organization and accused of transferring Islamist militants to Ukraine and Syria. İHH is also suspected of ties to al-Qaeda, financing Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and involvement in Islamist activities in the North Caucasus.
