Influential Iranian media: Israel is advancing targeted projects in Azerbaijan

The Iranian news agency Tasnim, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has published a report outlining the "objectives" of Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) in Azerbaijan. According to the report, MASHAV is implementing targeted projects in Azerbaijan in the following areas:

▪️ Education – Aims to influence Azerbaijani youth by reshaping their worldview, weakening Islamic identity, and fostering a positive perception of Israel and its policies, including on the Palestinian issue.

▪️ Agriculture – Serves as a cover for gaining access to regions near the Iranian border, with the goal of conducting reconnaissance and expanding Israel’s presence.

▪️ Healthcare – Medical support in remote areas is portrayed as a tool for gaining public trust and crafting a positive image of Israel, while “concealing crimes in Palestine.”

▪️ Public Sector – MASHAV establishes ties with Azerbaijani government institutions to expand political influence and gain access to confidential information.

▪️ Economy – MASHAV uses its initiatives to support the entry of Israeli companies into the Azerbaijani market, thereby deepening Azerbaijan’s reliance on Israel in key strategic sectors.
