Turkish media: Turkey and Israel held their first meeting in Azerbaijan to avoid a conflict in Syria

«Officials from Türkiye and Israel have held their first meeting in Azerbaijan to avoid a conflict in Syria, according to Turkish Defense Ministry sources. “The first technical meeting held Wednesday (April 9) in Azerbaijan to discuss a conflict prevention mechanism between Türkiye and Israel to avoid unwanted incidents' in Syria,” sources said Thursday,» reports Turkish pro-government newspaper Daily Sabah on April 10.

The day earlier, on April 9, the President of Azerbaijan stated: «The first successful reconciliation between Türkiye and Israel was to a certain degree facilitated by Azerbaijan... Now we are facing the so-called déjà vu... The process to my mind should not stop. Azerbaijan is doing everything in its power to facilitate the process.»
