Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Israeli colleague Gideon Saar during his visit to the United Arab Emirates on April 8, according to the X account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. «The parties had a discussion on cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, high technologies, defense and other areas of mutual interest. During the meeting, regional and international security issues, including the situation in the broader Middle East were high on the agenda», the Ministry stated.

Earlier, on April 8, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reported, that Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Emirati counterpart Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. «Ministers discussed both bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on the economy, trade, energy, as well as regional and global developments», - the Ministry underlined.

A February policy paper by the BESA think tank, which provided recommendations to the Trump administration on forming a trilateral alliance between Azerbaijan, Israel, and the U.S., noted: «Building on Azerbaijan’s experience—and with the participation of Israel, the U.S., Azerbaijan, and other Muslim nations—new regional development projects can be launched in energy, agriculture, and healthcare. A crucial factor in this context is that the UAE, one of the architects and key participants in the Abraham Accords, is also Azerbaijan’s top partner in the Arab world.»
