"In recent weeks, a large-scale campaign has unfolded in the United States and Israel, aimed at bringing Azerbaijan—Iran’s northern neighbor—into the Abraham Accords, a series of agreements signed in 2020 to 'normalize relations' between Israel and several Arab nations, including the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco. According to the Israeli think tank the Begin-Sadat Center, Baku could be an ideal candidate to join this group," reports the Iranian economic website EcoIran.
In January, February, and March, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA) published a series of papers highlighting Azerbaijan’s strategic role in Israel’s regional security framework. The reports included recommendations for the Trump administration on forming a trilateral alliance with the U.S., as well as explanations of why Azerbaijan fits perfectly within the framework of the Abraham Accords.
