Israeli Ambassador in Baku: Israel and Azerbaijan can be in a key position between the big powers

"Azerbaijan and Israel understand that we need to work together to shape the future, to build a more peaceful future in which our countries play a major role in connecting. And in time of change, small countries like Israel and Azerbaijan also can be in a key position between the big powers. For example, Israel has strategic partnership with Azerbaijan, but we are the closest ally of the United States. So maybe we can play a role there to create a better harmony between the other two countries," said Israel’s Ambassador to Baku, George Deek, in an interview with Azerbaijani news channel AnewZ.

"Same goes for Azerbaijan, Israel and Turkey, two key allies of Azerbaijan. How can Azerbaijan play a constructive role in making sure that there`s no conflict arising between us and Turkey in that sense or to avoid any serious clashes?" Deek added.
