Top Israeli and U.S. media urge inclusion of Azerbaijan in the Abraham Accords

“Leading American media outlets such as Forbes and the Atlantic Council emphasize the necessity of Azerbaijan joining the Abraham Accords — an internationally recognized sign symbolizing a strong alliance between Azerbaijan and Israel. A recent study by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies also highlights Azerbaijan’s key role in Middle Eastern geopolitics and in contributing to Israel’s national security,” the Azerbaijani Research Center affiliated with the pro-Iranian group Hüseyniyyun* quotes the Israeli outlet Maariv.

In January, February, and March, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA) published a series of articles outlining Azerbaijan’s strategic significance in the regional security architecture of Israel. The publications also offered recommendations for the Trump administration on forming a trilateral alliance including the United States, and explained why Azerbaijan fits perfectly within the framework of the Abraham Accords.

*Hüseyniyyun is a group created by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from followers of the Khomeinist ideology who fled from Azerbaijan to Iran.
