“Azerbaijan has emerged as a key energy supplier to Israel, with oil exports rising by 55% since the outbreak of the war in Gaza. In the wake of the war in Ukraine, grain exports from Azerbaijan to Israel have also increased. Additionally, an Israeli company has participated in the construction of a desalination plant on the Caspian Sea. The number of Israeli tourists visiting Azerbaijan now exceeds 50,000 annually, while non-oil civilian trade between the two countries has reached $200 million,” reports Shafaqna, an international news agency affiliated with Iraqi Shiite spiritual leader Ali al-Sistani.
